About the guides
Mountains draw people at every stage of the journey — from those dreaming about their first expedition to those already climbing in high mountains.
Kristin didn’t start out as a professional athlete. She was working in a furniture store in Norway when she, almost by coincidence, ended up going to Kilimanjaro in 2015 after winning a competition at work. That trip changed everything.
From there, one step led to another — and over time it grew into high-altitude expeditions in the Himalayas, including climbing all fourteen 8,000-meter peaks and setting a world record in 2023.
Through these experiences, Kristin has spent years operating in some of the most demanding environments on Earth. She has gained a deep respect for the mountains, the risks involved, and the people who make these expeditions possible.
This is not just a set of guides, but a growing library of knowledge, experiences, and tools for anyone interested in exploring the mountains and spending time in the nature.
From training, equipment, nutrition, and recovery, to logistics, route planning, and hard-earned lessons in the field, it’s built on experience rather than theory.
Over time, it will grow into your personal practical resource, with packing lists, planning tools, and guidance designed to support a wide range of journeys and ambitions.
Along with the practical side, Kristin shares personal stories and reflections from expeditions: Including moments that have never been told before, and perspectives shaped in the most demanding conditions.
Whether you are preparing for your first expedition or already feel at home in the mountains, the intention is the same: to help you feel better prepared, make clearer decisions, and move forward with greater confidence in your own journey.
Because in the end, preparation, teamwork, and good decisions make all the difference.
And every expedition starts exactly the same way – when you decide.
